Plitzie focuses on projects starting with a clear problem and creates the solutions required to solve it. This has led to years-long partnerships with Fortune 50 companies, to international teams looking at solving specific issues in the developing world, to creating tools that make inspection safer. We are made of engineers, veterans, epidemiologists, hackers and artists that can translate ideas to action and operate as professionals. We operate a flexible, distributed team based system and hire based on grit, trust and deliverables rather than origin, education or accolades.
What We Offer
Small Space Robotics
This area of work was spurred from our Moot events (link to plitzie.com/moots) that showed the need for small space robotics to provide data from the most ignored but accurate source: directly inside working, living assets. For the work in infrastructure, we have created a system that enables a single operator to determine asset/pipeline health without the need to turn off the assets. For the work in defense, we have created tools that enable maintainers to speed up inspection and eliminate needless hazmat exposure. All of our tools are based on our origin as an analytics group, and include a full system that is geared to integration with existing tools.
Unstructured Analytics
Plitzie works extensively in providing forecasting, predictive models or “deep-dive” analyses based on unstructured, external data for industry clients. This usually includes sources from many datastreams with a goal of providing improved decisions. From food safety to manufacturing disruptions, this work is focused on providing clients a simple interface to test their own interests to identification of major vulnerabilities.
Engineering & Public Health
This is some of our most public and engaging work, and has included coming in ex post facto to solve specific issues where public health and engineering intersect. We’ve ran international teams looking to improve the performance of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation toilets, to providing game plans for rural Haitian hospitals, to current work looking at improving toxic exposures related to drinking water.
